Privacy Policy

AquaLog is made by ToolPack Pro ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information AquaLog handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Data you enter: tank names, tank size and type, water test readings, water change, feeding and cleaning logs, livestock (species, nickname, date added), equipment and food, reminder settings, and photos you add of your tanks or livestock. This data stays on your device and in your own iCloud account (see Storage and iCloud sync below). We can't see it.
Crash reports: if AquaLog crashes, a crash report is sent to Sentry, the only third-party service in the app. A crash report contains technical details: the app version, device model, iOS version, and where in the code the crash happened. Sentry is set up not to collect personal information (sendDefaultPii = false), not to take screenshots, and not to record performance or usage (tracesSampleRate = 0). Crash reports don't include your tank data or photos.
Data we don't collect: AquaLog has no accounts and we run no server of our own. The app doesn't collect your name, email address, location, contacts or advertising identifier, shows no ads, contains no analytics, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. We don't sell or share personal data.

How we use it

The data you enter is used only inside the app, to show your tanks, logs, charts and reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications. Crash reports are used only to find and fix bugs.

Storage and iCloud sync

Your data is stored on your device. For every user, free or Pro, AquaLog also syncs it through Apple's iCloud (the CloudKit private database) to your own iCloud account, so it stays the same on your iPhone and iPad. Only you can access that data; ToolPack Pro cannot see or access it. If you aren't signed in to iCloud, or you turn off iCloud for AquaLog in the Settings app, your data stays on that device only and isn't synced.

Purchases

AquaLog is free to use with one tank. AquaLog Pro, which removes the one-tank limit, is offered as a monthly or a yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit; we never receive your payment details. The app only asks Apple whether Pro is active for your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them, which you can do at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Exporting and sharing

When you export your test records as a CSV file, or send us feedback by email, the file or message leaves your device only when you choose to share or send it, and only to the place you pick. Feedback emails are pre-filled with the app version, device model and iOS version to help us answer; you can remove these lines before sending.

Third parties

AquaLog uses Sentry for crash reports only (as described above), and Apple for iCloud sync and App Store purchases. We do not use any advertising or analytics SDKs.

Your choices

Deleting a tank or a record in AquaLog removes it from your device and, when iCloud sync is on, from your iCloud account too. Deleting the app removes the copy on that device; to remove the synced copy as well, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → AquaLog. Because your tank data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you have questions about crash reports, email support@toolpackpro.com.

Children's privacy

AquaLog is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Continued use of an app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
