Privacy Policy

Statelight is made by ToolPack Pro ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Statelight handles, where it is stored, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Photo locations and dates: with your permission, Statelight reads the place (GPS coordinates) and date saved with each photo in your library, to work out which states and counties you've been to. It doesn't open or look at the photos themselves, and your photos never leave your iPhone. The app keeps a list of the places it found, rounded to about 1 km, with the date of the first and last photo taken there, so it doesn't have to read your whole library again. This list stays on your device. We can't see it.
Data you enter: states and counties you light up or remove by hand. This stays on your device too.
Data we don't collect: Statelight has no accounts and we run no server of our own. The app doesn't collect your name, email address, contacts or advertising identifier, doesn't track your current location, shows no ads, contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. We don't sell or share personal data.

How we use it

Photo locations and dates are used only inside the app, on your iPhone, to light up your map, count your states and counties, and show when you first visited each one. With Statelight Pro, new photos are checked on your iPhone the next time you open the app.

Storage

All of your Statelight data is stored only on your iPhone. Statelight doesn't sync it to iCloud or send it anywhere. Like other app data, it's included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have them turned on, and moves to a new iPhone when you restore from one of those backups.

Purchases

Statelight is free to use for lighting up states by hand. Statelight Pro, which lights up your map from your photos and adds county maps, is offered as a one-time lifetime purchase, or as a yearly auto-renewing subscription that starts with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit; we never receive your payment details. The app only asks Apple whether Pro is active for your Apple Account.

The yearly subscription renews automatically, and the free trial turns into a paid subscription, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in Statelight under Settings → Manage Subscription. The lifetime purchase is not a subscription and never charges again.

Sharing

The map images you make in Statelight leave your device only when you tap Share and pick where to send them, or tap Save to put a copy in your photo library. Contact Us opens your own email app; nothing is sent until you send it.

Third parties

Statelight uses Apple for App Store purchases. We do not use any advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and the app makes no other network requests. Links in the app (this policy, the App Store review page) open in Safari or the App Store.

Your choices

You can change or turn off photo access at any time in Settings → Statelight → Photos. To delete everything Statelight has stored, go to Settings → Erase All Data in the app; this removes your states and counties and the places found in your photos. It doesn't delete any photos, and doesn't affect your purchase. Deleting the app also deletes all of its data from that device. Because your data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children's privacy

Statelight is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Continued use of an app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
